Cookbook
Every Almazan Kitchen film is a recipe without words: fire, steel, and whatever is fresh that day. Here are the dishes people ask about most, each with the tool it was cooked with. Watch the film, then cook it.
The films and the tools in them
Ultimate Serbian Steak
A thick cut seared over embers and finished with chimichurri, sliced in single passes with the wide forged blade.
The tool: Original Serbian Chef Knife. Watch the film.
Crispy Rösti Potatoes Over Fire
Grated potato pressed into cast iron and cooked over open flame until the crust turns deep gold.
The tool: Non-Stick Cast Iron Frying Pan. Watch the film.
Beer Can Bacon Burgers
Cheese-stuffed burgers wrapped in bacon and seasoned generously before they ever meet the fire.
The tool: Red Meat Seasoning. Watch the film.
Viking Breakfast From a Single Bone
Marrow bone split in the forest, then breakfast cooked over the fire beside it. The axe does the heavy work.
The tool: Serbian Chef Cooking Axe. Watch the film.
Melted Cheese and Egg Toast
Bread toasted over the coals, cheese and egg on top, lifted off the heat with a forged spatula.
The tool: Original Spatula Set. Watch the film.
Secret Steak Recipe From a Serbian Village
Village cooking over wood, and roast meat carved in one clean pass with the same chef knife.
The tool: Original Serbian Chef Knife. Watch the film.
Cook like the films
- Season meat generously and early. Our Red Meat and Chicken mixes are the ones used in the films.
- Cook on cast iron over embers, not flames. Embers give steady heat, flames give soot.
- Let meat rest before you cut it, then slice across the grain with a wide, sharp blade.
- Serve straight off the board. An olive wood steak board keeps the juices where they belong.
More films go up on the channel every week, and we add them here as we go.
